National CLI Score Remains Unchanged in 2010
The Canadian Council on Learning, a non-profit organization committed to improving learning in Canada, has released its annual Composite Learning Index (CLI). The 2010 CLI measures the progress of lifelong learning using 17 statistical indicators and 26 specific measures. In 2009 Canada's overall score dropped for the first time since the CLI's inception in 2006. Despite a stagnant national score, St. John's (Newfoundland), Saanich (British Columbia), and Laval (Quebec), experienced the greatest five-year gains.
