International Walk to School Week
A great way to participate in National Family Week
October 04, 2004 - October 08, 2004
Across Canada

As you strive to increase your familyès level of physical activity, why not walk your children to school during International Walk to School Week. The event has expanded from one day to a whole week! Schools can choose the day to celebrate - or even better, students can walk every day of the week!

During International Walk to School Week, millions of parents, children, teachers and community leaders around the world walk to school together for many reasons:
- increase physical activity
- reduce traffic congestion
- improve air quality
- learn safe pedestrian and cycling skills
- create a stronger sense of community and family
- or... to simply have fun

It is an opportunity for the whole family to participate in healthy activity together.
