Governance
The Officers and Directors of the Association are elected at the Annual General Meeting by the Voting Members. The Board of Directors establishes the organization’s strategic direction and is accountable to the membership for effective financial and operational oversight. Its membership provides for regional perspectives and includes Directors recruited from government, school systems, academia, and the private sector.
In 2008, the membership revised the governance structures of CEA to maintain broad involvement from across the country by establishing an advisory Council while increasing effectiveness and accountability through a smaller Board of Directors.
